Over the last few years, the magical properties of CBD oil have really hit the headlines and when you start using it, you’ll soon find out why. But there’s another great little product that you might like to do some research into and start incorporating into your daily routines and that’s hemp oil.
This can either be taken from the cannabis sativa plant itself or come in the form of hemp seed oil, which is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant. Bear in mind that hemp oil is not the same as CBD, as the production of the latter makes use of the flowers, leaves and stalks of the hemp plant, so has a higher concentration of CBD.
Hemp oil, meanwhile, only uses the small seeds of the plant and these don’t have the same levels of compounds that you’ll find in cannabis sativa, although they do still have all sorts of wonderful nutrients and fatty acids, so they are very useful in their own right and certainly not something to be forgotten about!
So… what kind of benefits does taking a few drops of hemp oil each day bring and how can you go about using this particular product?
Well, it’s possible that hemp oil can really help improve the quality of your skin so if you are prone to acne and breakouts, and have tried lots of other products with little to no joy, it can’t hurt to give hemp oil a go. It could even help with the likes dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis, so if you have been suffering in this regard, you might like to try it as well.
You can apply it directly onto your body, face, scalp or hair to give yourself a quick treat, or you can put a few drops under your tongue two or three times each day instead.
It can also be used as a makeup remover – all you need to do is massage it onto your face in circles to take your foundation and mascara off, before rinsing off thoroughly. Or what about making your own exfoliator? Just mix a couple of tablespoons of the oil in with two tablespoons of brown sugar, then use it as a gentle body scrub in the shower each morning.
Those of you prone to aches and pains, or who hit the gym and find your muscles often feel the burn afterwards might also want to try massaging some of the oil into your arms and legs, as it’s thought hemp oil can really help ease aching muscles. Give it a go and see – you may never look back!
